Going back to Cali, Hmmph-I don't think so

Hard to believe we are already back. What a fun and busy time we had visiting cousin Cyn in Cali and being a part of her special day. The wedding was beautiful and she was the perfect bride.
Turned out to be quite the fun family adventure. Starting with our flight out of DFW being cancelled. Then, when we finally did get a flight, I forgot to check our toiletries bag and tried carrying-on a bag of liquids (all too large for TSA regulations). Had to throw away more than $100 worth of lotions, contact solution, shampoos, etc. It was either that or try to catch a flight later in the day... I don't think so. Well, our flight was delayed as we sat on the runway because they over filled the fuel tank, then needed to get much needed radio equipment. All the while, trying to keep a very cranky baby calm and deal with two other kids argue over which movie to watch. After we landed, we were able to get some nutritious "Tommy's" in our bellies. Nothing like a greasy burger topped with some hot chili. Can I just say that I KNOW there will be a "Tommy's" in heaven. :o)
The day at the beach was wonderous and probably my favorite ever. Watching my kids play with their cousins was priceless. Building sand castles, flying kites, running around and splashing in the waves. My husband was also doing all that with my brother and dad. My baby D just hung out and enjoyed the sun, the sand and the playpen. What a precious site. The weather was gorgeous by the coast. A clear, not too smoggy warm day with that incomparable sea smell. And, that day was also closed with another meal at Tommy's. The orignial, near Hollywood.
As I said before the wedding was amazing. Couldn't have been more perfect. And, my husband is the best ever, bringing my baby to me every 2-3 hours to nurse. Bless his little heart.
Disneyland was certainly an adventure. But the memory of that will also be a fond one. Peter Pan and Dumbo are my faves. Not to mention the near scuffle I almost got into with the MadHatter lady who did NOT want to embroider my children's hats the way I wanted them done. Oh well.
Anyway, it was so good to see all my family. Wish we could've spent more time together. Love and hugs. XOXOXO
